About John
John Lavoie didn’t grow up dreaming of becoming a personal trainer. In fact, he started on the opposite end of the fitness spectrum. As a middle schooler, John struggled during the Presidential Fitness Test, ranking among the lowest in his class. While others saw fitness as a natural strength, John approached it with the determination of a problem-solver. Over time, he realized that connecting the physical and the intellectual could transform not just his performance but his confidence, too.
That realization shaped John’s path. Through commitment and hard work, he went from struggling to excelling, placing first in his state during the next fitness exam. This pivotal experience planted the seed for a lifelong passion: helping others unlock their potential through fitness.
John’s journey wasn’t without challenges. Over the years, he’s dealt with multiple injuries, including broken bones and degenerative cartilage. These experiences deepened his understanding of resilience and adaptation. Today, John draws on those lessons to design programs that meet clients where they are—helping them move forward, no matter their starting point.
